The new industry standard Type C USB is set to replace the ubiquitous micro-USB connector/port. Physically, the new Type-C port and connector is just a bit larger than that of the micro-B USB. This means it's small enough to work with even the smallest peripheral devices. Also, you don't need to worry about plugging it in upside down - it's reversible.
Type-C USB also allows for bi-directional power, so in addition to charging the peripheral device, a peripheral device could also charge a host device. This means you can do away with an array of proprietary power adapters and USB cables, and move to a single robust and tiny solution that works for all devices. Type-C USB will significantly cut down the a amount of cables currently needed to make devices work.
CreatePros Type-C USB 3.1 cables and connectors are fully certified and backward-compatible with USB 3.0 and USB 2.0.
Devices that use Type C cables include the new Apple 12 inch MacBook, Google ChromeBook Pixel, Nokia N1 Tablet, LG G5, Asus Zen AiO, Lumia 950 and 950XL, HP Pavilion x2, HP Elite x3, ASUS ZenPad S8, Nexus 5X and 6P, Galaxy TabPro S, and Nextbit Robin.
